Foodbank Community Café

KTM Design has been invited to help Bournemouth Foodbank in creating a design for their new Café in St George’s Methodist Church in Boscombe.

The Foodbank, which is funded by local churches and community groups, provides emergency food to thousands of families in Bournemouth each year. The addition of a Community Café aims to provide a self-sufficient space for the Foodbank, while also creating a welcoming environment for the community to come together.

The design approach focuses on creating a welcoming and comfortable space for disadvantaged individuals to wait for their food boxes, while also inviting the public to come and socialize. The design incorporates a light colour palette with sage accents, warm wooden tones, natural materials, and greenery to create a relaxing and restful environment. The aim is to provide a simple yet beautiful space that is both calming and comforting to those in need, while also serving as a community hub for everyone to enjoy.
