Our interior design process

We will typically follow the RIBA Plan of Work, which is the UK model for design and construction for buildings. That said, our interior design process can vary for clients depending on the nature and scale of the project so we will adapt our work process accordingly. Here are the stages involved:

Preparation brief and budget

We’ll have an initial consultation where we discuss your project and individual requirements to get a sense of your style, the budget you have in mind and the time scale we’ll need to work to.

Concept design

Our innovative team of interior designers get to work on designing, creating visuals and 3D modelling to start imagining your new area. We will begin to look into a variety of styles and finishes as we develop the room layout and finishes. We’ll also explore which furnishings, lighting and materials will be best for enhancing the room and is consistent with the brief.

Design development

Once we get your feedback on the design, we can continue to develop and build on this by specifying finishes such as furnishings and flooring, refining the interior layout and detailing the lighting.

Technical design

We then start to create a detailed technical construction pack and develop furniture, fixtures and equipment specifications, such as electrical and joinery requirements.

Construction

We work collaboratively with contractors to review the proposed design and to ensure that work is carried out successfully during construction.

Handover and close out

Once construction is complete, we’ll visit the site to inspect the work. If any issues arise or we feel that there are some final amends to be made, we will schedule time to resolve this so that both ourselves and our client is happy with the final result.
